Terms of Service

Welcome to Ali Reviews, an online application that provides a comprehensive solution and management tool for product reviews (the "Application" and "Reviews"). Ali Reviews is owned by OneCommerce ("OneCommerce"), and it is designed to cater to the needs of merchants who operate and enhance their e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform (the "Merchants" and "Websites").

This agreement (the "Agreement") sets forth the terms and conditions between OneCommerce and you (the "User", "you", or "your") with respect to your use of the Ali Reviews app. By using the Ali Reviews app, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR USE THE APPLICATION.

The Services provided by OneCommerce through the Ali Reviews app consist solely of the functionality described below.

1.1 User Generated Content – Certain features enable you to collect, upload, transfer, organize, and use your Content that may include, without limitation, rating, textual, graphic, images, illustrations, audio clips, and video clips, other User-generated Content created or otherwise supplied by your customers, end Users or parties with whom you interact (collectively, “End-Users”) on your website, social media services, and third-party websites. An example of such functionality would be using the Product to display an End-User’s photo of your product on your website.

1.2 Customer Reviews – Certain features enable you to invite End-Users to write reviews. “Reviews” are the Content that may include, without limitation, opinions, product or service ratings or reviews, articles, written expressions, in any form or media, and/or any works of authorship created by the End-User, you, or any other third party and may, subject to the Agreement, include any Reviews that are imported through the Product from third-party sites.

Ali Reviews is committed to maintaining high-quality, trustworthy reviews for our Users. To achieve this, we have established the following Content policies:

Customer Reviews

  • Only customers who have purchased a product from the store will be able to submit a review.
  • All outside reviews are subject to our stringent Content and fraud checks.
  • Reviews must be relevant to the product being reviewed and contain specific details about the customer's experience with the product.
  • Reviews must not contain any personal or confidential information, phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, or inappropriate language:
    • The use of inappropriate language in reviews is strictly prohibited. Inappropriate language refers to any language that is offensive, discriminatory, or disrespectful. This includes explicit or graphic descriptions of sexual acts, bodily functions, or any other topics that are deemed to be offensive. Furthermore, the use of vulgar or offensive words or phrases, especially those related to religion, race, gender, or other sensitive topics, is also not acceptable. Our Application promotes professionalism and respect, and we ask that all Users abide by these guidelines to maintain a constructive and positive environment for feedback.
  • Reviews must be free from spam, off-topic Content, and other forms of fraudulent or malicious behavior:
    • Spam reviews are those that are irrelevant or unsolicited. They often contain advertising or promotional Content, and they may be posted multiple times or in bulk. 
    • Off-topic reviews are those that do not relate to the product or service being reviewed. For example, a review about the weather at a hotel instead of the quality of service.
    • Other forms of fraudulent or malicious behavior include fake reviews, which are reviews written by people who have not used the product or service, and biased reviews, which are written to intentionally promote or discredit a business or service. These types of behavior are harmful and deceptive.

User-Generated Images

  • Users may include images in their product reviews.
  • Images must be relevant to the product being reviewed.
  • Images must not contain personal or confidential information, phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, or inappropriate Content. Inappropriate Content includes but is not limited to, explicit or graphic descriptions of sexual acts, bodily functions, or any other topics that are offensive, vulgar, or discriminatory. Images containing such Content will be removed.
  • Images must be free from spam, off-topic Content, and other forms of fraudulent or malicious behavior.

Ali Reviews takes review fraud very seriously and has implemented various measures to detect and prevent it. To ensure compliance with our policies, we will include a link to our Content policies in the app and require Users to agree to them before using the Application. We will also use moderation tools and automated filters to detect and remove reviews or images that contain prohibited Content.

We encourage all Users to report any reviews or images that violate our Content policies, and we will review those reports promptly to take appropriate action.

In addition, merchants are required to share all their reviews with Google through monthly updates to maintain transparency and accountability.

If we detect any fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to take action. This includes removing reviews or images or suspending accounts that violate our Content policies. We will send a warning email to the User if a fraudulent review is detected in their store, explaining our Content policies against review fraud and informing the User that their account may be suspended or terminated if they continue to engage in fraudulent activity.

To prevent further fraudulent behavior, we will flag Users who have been found to engage in review fraud and closely monitor their activities. We will also update our policies as needed to reflect best practices and industry standards.

  • End-Users cannot modify or delete their own reviews once they have been submitted. This policy ensures the authenticity and reliability of the reviews on our platform.
  • Merchants have the ability to delete reviews, but they cannot modify the Content of the reviews on their products. Merchants may only delete reviews that violate our Content policies, and they must provide a valid reason for doing so.

We believe that transparency and honesty are important values in our community, and we encourage all Users to submit reviews that accurately reflect their experiences with the products or services they have purchased. By not allowing Users to modify or delete their own reviews, we aim to maintain the integrity of our review system and protect the trust of merchants and End-Users.

In the case that a review violates our Content policies, merchants may request its removal by contacting our support team. Our team will review the request and take appropriate action if necessary.

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our Content policies or that are found to be fraudulent or misleading. We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate the accounts of Users who engage in fraudulent or malicious behavior.

We annotate all reviews on the Application to distinguish between verified and unverified reviews. Verified reviews are those that have been confirmed as genuine by our system through purchase verification or other means of verification. These reviews are marked with "Verified Purchase" to ensure their authenticity.

To ensure the accuracy and authenticity of reviews on your website, we only mark reviews as verified if we can confirm that they come from a genuine User who has had a legitimate experience with the product or service being reviewed.

Unverified reviews have not been confirmed as genuine and are subject to the same Content policies checks as verified reviews. However, they are not marked as "Verified Purchase."

By adhering to this policy, we aim to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of reviews on the Application and to provide Users and End-Users with a transparent and trustworthy website for sharing and reading reviews.

If you disclose Customer Data which includes personally identifiable information (“PII”) of end users of your site or application (“Customer Site”) to OneCommerce, you represent and warrant that: (i) you comply with all applicable laws relating to the collection, use and disclosure of PII on your Customer Site; (ii) you have posted and maintain a privacy policy on your Customer Site, which clearly and conspicuously discloses that: (a) you use third-party service providers to provide services to you in connection with your operation of your Customer Site, including the collection and tracking of certain data and information regarding the characteristics and activities of visitors to such Customer Site; and (b) you may disclose end user PII to certain such third-party service providers in connection with their provision of services to you; and (iii) you have made all required notifications and obtained all required consents and authorizations from your end users relating to the disclosure of end user PII to a third party service provider like OneCommerce. You further acknowledge and agree that your indemnity obligation under the “Indemnity” section below applies to your disclosure of end user PII under this Agreement.

OneCommerce reserves the right to remove any Customer Data from the Site and the Services at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. OneCommerce may, but is not obligated to, monitor Customer Data and remove any content or prohibit any use of the Services, including refusing to send e-mail to your end users, if OneCommerce believes in its sole discretion such content or use may be (or is alleged to be) in violation of these Terms of Service or any applicable laws or may impact delivery. All information transmitted through the Services is the sole responsibility of the party from whom such information originated. OneCommerce does not assume liability for any Customer Data. You are responsible for all Customer Data submitted under your account, including Customer Data contributed by a third party under your account. Any feedback relating to the Services (“Feedback”) submitted to OneCommerce shall become the property of OneCommerce. OneCommerce will not be required to treat any Feedback as confidential, and will not be liable for any ideas or incur any liability as a result of any similarities that may appear in our future Services, or operations.

By using the Ali Reviews app, you acknowledge and agree that OneCommerce solely owns the Ali Reviews Application and that you have no ownership or intellectual property rights therein. This Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between you and OneCommerce with respect to the use of the Ali Reviews Application and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals (whether oral, written, or electronic) between you and OneCommerce. 

A printed version of this Agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this Agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form. Any cause of action arising out of or related to the Services must commence within one (1) year after the cause of action arose; otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam. Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of this Agreement shall be finally settled by the state and federal courts located in Vietnam. Use of the Services is not authorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of this Agreement, including without limitation, this section.

Ownership – Neither party grants the other any rights or licenses not expressly set out in this Agreement. Except for Ali Reviews’ rights under this Agreement, between the parties, you retain all intellectual property and other rights in its intellectual property and to Your Content provided to Ali Reviews. Ali Reviews and its licensors retain all intellectual property and other rights in and to each Product, the Services, and any deliverables and related Ali Reviews application, templates, documentation, help files, tutorials, formats, and dashboards, including any modifications or improvements to these items made by Ali Reviews, and the Usage Data (the “Ali Reviews Materials”). If you provide Ali Reviews with feedback or suggestions regarding the Service or other Ali Reviews offerings, Ali Reviews may use the feedback or suggestions without restriction or obligation.

Usage Data – Ali Reviews may generate technical logs, data, and learnings about your use and End-Users’ use of the Services (the “Usage Data”) and Your Content processed by the Services, and use such information to operate, analyze, improve and support the Services and for other lawful purposes. Except as required by law, Ali Reviews will not disclose Usage Data externally, including in benchmarks or reports except in the aggregate.
