Fortunately, there are some methods to remove Powered by Shopify<\/strong><\/a> in just 5 minutes. With a few quick steps, you can make your store look even more professional and put your best foot forward.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

To the new merchants, you may not know what this means. Let me explain a little about this then I will show you how to <\/span>remove the text message “Powered by Shopify” in just only 5 mins.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

What does Powered by Shopify mean?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Powered by Shopify is the default text placed in every store by Shopify to let people know that your business is using Shopify\u2019s service. It can be a great way to build trust with potential customers, as it shows that you’re using a platform that is known for being reliable and user-friendly.<\/span><\/p>\n

What does Powered by Shopify mean?<\/p><\/div>\n

This text is placed in the footer of every store and is typically small and inconspicuous. However, some store owners may want to remove this text or change it to something else.<\/span><\/p>\n

Removing this text is not a big problem, anyone can do it easily.\u00a0In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps necessary to <\/span>remove<\/b> Powered by Shopify<\/b> from the footer of your store. This will make your online business look professional and polished.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to remove Powered by Shopify from the footer?<\/b><\/h2>\n

At first, new sellers may not be worried, but they will finally ask, “<\/span>How do I remove the Powered by Shopify message from my store’s footer?” <\/b>If you want to convey a unique brand image, make sure your website has an authentic look.<\/span><\/p>\n

To remove Shopify from your store’s footer, there are two options. They are often referred to as the \u201ceasy<\/strong>\u201d and \u201chard<\/strong>\u201d methods. In essence, they are both very simple.<\/span><\/p>\n

Option #1<\/b>: <\/span>Remove Powered by Shopify by Edit Code<\/b><\/h3>\n

To start the process, you need to log into your <\/span>Store Admin<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1: <\/b>On your left of the Shopify admin dashboard, find \u201c<\/span>Online Store\u201d <\/b>and click on it. A menu will appear, click on \u201c<\/span>Themes<\/b>\u201d. From your directed page, click on \u201c<\/span>Actions<\/b>\u201d and then \u201c<\/span>Edit Code<\/b>\u201d from the dropdown.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2: <\/b>On the Edit Code page, you need to scroll down until you see the folder \u201c<\/span>Sections<\/b>\u201d and click on it. Scroll down one more time then select \u201c<\/span>{\/} footer.liquid<\/b>\u201d.\u00a0 You will see the coding opens up on the right-hand side.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3<\/b>: Use keystrokes “<\/span>Ctrl + F<\/b>” (or command + F) to find the \u201c<\/span>powered_by_link<\/b>\u201d. Click on the up\/down icon to check how many results it has. In this example, there is only one code for \u201c<\/span>powered_by_link<\/b>\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 4<\/b>: Delete the line have<\/span>\u00a0 {{ powered_by_link }} <\/b>and click \u201c<\/span>Save<\/b>\u201d\u00a0 in the upper right-hand corner to end the process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Make sure to delete the following code:\u00a0 <\/span><small class=”copyright__content”>{{ powered_by_link }}<\/small> <\/b>to remove Powered by Shopify.<\/p>\n

Great job!\u00a0 You\u2019ve successfully removed Powered by Shopify from your site<\/span>.<\/b> This option may be hard for some users, but there is 1 more option for you to follow<\/span>. Check out the option below.<\/span><\/p>\n

Option #2<\/b>: <\/span>Remove Powered by Shopify by Edit Languages<\/b><\/h3>\n

Option #1<\/b> is referred to as the \u201chard\u201d method, this one is really easy. If you read<\/span> Option #1<\/b>, you will find \u201c<\/span>Edit Languages<\/b>\u201d very fast. This section is under the \u201c<\/span>Edit Code<\/b>\u201d. If not, you can begin by accessing the themes sections of your online store from your Shopify admin and hitting the \u201c<\/span>Actions<\/b>\u201d from the dropdown menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plus,<\/span> this step can be used via browser or mobile app<\/b>, the process is the same.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1: <\/b>On your left of the Shopify admin dashboard, find \u201c<\/span>Online Store\u201d <\/b>and click on it. A menu will appear, click on \u201c<\/span>Themes<\/b>\u201d. From your directed page, click on \u201c<\/span>Actions<\/b>\u201d and then \u201c<\/span>Edit Languages<\/b>\u201d from the dropdown.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2<\/b>: On the<\/span> Languages<\/b> page, type \u201c<\/span>powered<\/b>\u201d into the Filter box. Scroll down a bit until you see 2 boxes of \u201c<\/span>Powered by Shopify<\/b>\u201d and \u201c<\/span>Powered by Shopify html<\/b>\u201d. These are two items that you need to change to remove Powered by Shopify.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3<\/b>: First is the \u201c<\/span>Powered by Shopif<\/b>y\u201d option as you\u2019ve seen above. You just need to press a single space to make that box empty. Do the same action to the \u201c<\/span>Powered by Shopify html<\/b>\u201d. Finally, you can click on \u201c<\/span>Save<\/b>\u201d to end the process.<\/span><\/p>\n
